Make a Donation

F2F operates from the financial support of donors like you. Because we are 100% volunteer based, all contributions are used to address the diverse needs of women.

Our current projects include establishing F2F as a 501C3 tax exempt organization and securing a facility. Both projects will enable us to offer more programs and to serve more women.

Why Support F2F?

We researched government agencies to identify needs women share in common regardless of diversities. From our findings, we focused our programs and events around addressing those needs.

Self-Awareness

Developing a positive body image and a healthy mental attitude is crucial to a woman's happiness and wellness. (womenshealth.gov)

Midlife is often considered a period of increased risk for depression in women. Some women report mood swings, irritability, tearfulness, anxiety, and feelings of despair in the years leading up to menopause. (womenshealth.gov)

Marriage and Family

Married women have higher rates of depression than unmarried women, but the reverse is true for men. Marriage seems to confer a greater protective advantage on men than on women. In unhappy marriages, women are three times as likely as men to be depressed. Women's risk of depressive symptoms and demoralization is higher among mothers of young children and increases with the number of children in the house (McGrath et al., 1990) (apa.org)

Friendship

One recent survey found that women were more likely to experience physical symptoms of stress than men. But we don’t have enough proof to say that this applies to all women. We do know that women often cope with stress in different ways than men. Women “tend and befriend,” taking care of those closest to them, but also drawing support from friends and family. Career/Purpose

America's work force has changed in the last 50 years. Though men still outnumber women in the workforce, the percent of women working has steadily increased from 34% in 1950s to 60% today. (cdc.org)
