  • Heavy menstrual bleeding, lasting more than seven days or very heavy, affects more than 10 million American women each year. That is about one out of every five women.
  • Infertility affects about 6% of married women ages 15-44.
  • Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is the most common vaginal infection in women ages 15-44.
  • Sex Trafficking is a serious public health problem that affects the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. The majority of victims are women and girls.
  • About 19 women die every day as a result of drug overdoses involving prescription opioids.
